Turkish Crossroads filmfest to host Iranian ‘Mosayeb’

Iranian short flick ‘Mosayeb’ has been selected to compete at the 2021 edition of the Crossroads International Short Film Festival in Turkey.

Directed by Banafsheh Sadeqi, the short film is made in social genre. It is a love narrative that centers on the subjects of family and law.

The cast list of the short film includes Jamshid Razeqi, Majid Vojoudi, Babak Zarinehpour, Maryam Mohammadkhani, Sahar Khademi, Erfan Aminian, Farzam Feshangi, Tohid Hedayatifard and Amir Bahaaminian.

Written by Erfan Ehteshami, the title has previously participated in several international festivals, including the First-Time Filmmakers Festival in Toronto and the Lift-Off Film Festival in the UK.

According to the Crossroads festival’s website, “the Turkish festival is an international short film competition and festival that mediates the meeting of cultures and aims for all cinema lovers and filmmakers to bring their short films with the theme of "Gender Equality" to the big screen”.

The 2021 edition of the event will be held on October 1-16.
